כל המלמד את בן חברו תורה מעלה עליו הכתוב כאילו ילדו (סנהדרין י”ט:)

Tikun Israel the healing of Israel; Isra-el reminds us: “…for you have struggled with Gd and with men, and have prevailed…” (Bereshit/Genesis 32:29). This is the Jewish People’s collective namesake and formula for immortality from time immemorial.

“If I am not for myself, who will be for me? But if I am only for myself, what am I?” (Pirkei Avot 1:14)
Prayer is not a stratagem for occasional use, a refuge to resort to now and then.
It is rather like an established residence for the innermost self. All things have a home: the bird has a nest, the fox has a hole, the bee has a hive. A soul without prayer is a soul without a home….For the soul, home is where prayer is…. (Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel)
“Things, when magnified, are forgeries of happiness, they are a threat to our very lives…” (Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel)
